(Project "Discourse markers in Italian L2 and heritage language", Ghent University)
The University of Gent welcomes applications for a full-time position as doctoral researcher in the Department of Translation, Interpreting & Communication at Ghent University, in the Research Centre for Multilingual Practices and Language Learning in Society (MULTIPLES).
The successful applicant will be working on the project “Discourse markers in Italian L2 and heritage language” funded by the Special Research Fund at Ghent University.

The goal of the project is to produce an analysis of the linguistic and sociolinguistic factors involved.
The starting date is subject to negotiation, but will fall between 1 April and 1 October 2018. The project runs over a period of 4 years. The position provides a competitive PhD scholarship (ca. 2000 EUR/month net, 2+2 years), benefits, and research funds. UGent, a top-100 institution worldwide, offers a dynamic and international academic environment where PhD students are involved in high quality training and research.
